- Pre-Kindergarten - Age 4 on or before October 31, 2024
- Kindergarten - Age 5 on or before October 31, 2024
Q: what is education service contracting (esc)?
A: Educational Service Contracting (ESC) is a partnership program by the Department of Education (DepEd) aimed at decongesting overcrowded public junior high schools. In ESC, the excess capacities of certified private junior high schools are “contracted” through slot allocations for students who would otherwise have gone to public schools. The slots come with subsidies called ESC grants, and program beneficiaries are called ESC grantees or, for the purposes of these guidelines, simply grantees.

Q: who are qualified to become an esc grantee?
A: Qualifications
- Elementary graduates who will pursue secondary education in an ESC participating private high school or incoming Grade 7 can avail of the program.
- Elementary graduates from Public Elementary Schools are automatically qualified to the program.
Q: WHAT is SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL VOUCHER PROGRAM (SHSVP)?
A: Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) is a program of financial assistance wherein subsidies in the form of vouchers are provided to qualified SHS learners in participating private or non-DepEd public SHSs.

Q: WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO BECOME AN shsvp grantee?
A: Qualifications
- Learners who completed JHS in public schools operated by DepEd
- Public or private educational institutions not directly operated by DepEd but granted by DepEd with a permit
or government recognition to operate are eligible for SHS VP - Learners who completed Grade 10 as passers of the Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency (AL-S A&E)
- Junior High School completers who are ESC grantees and completers in Public Schools are automatically qualified
- Junior High School completers who are not ESC grantees but applied and granted with voucher
